Initial Consultation € 150 | The first consultation includes an extensive history taking, discussion of prior results and radiological images, formulating a diagnosis, developing a management plan and instigating further investigations. |
Follow-up Consultation € 120 | The follow-up consultation includes discussion of results and radiological images as well as formulating a treatment plan individualised to your needs, both conservative and surgical. |
KFA | We have a contract with the KFA public health service, costs are settled direcly via e-card. |
ACP (Autologous Conditioned Plasma) € 170 per treatment | Treatment with ACP includes a detailed treatment explanation, blood-taking from a vein of the arm, centrifuging and subsequent administration of the conditioned plasma. The treatment steps are all performed personally by your doctor and documented. Normally 3-5 treatments are necessary. |
Cartilage Therapy (Hyaluronic acid): € 50 – 300 | Hyaluronic acid is an important component of joint cartilage and joint fluid. Joint cartilage therapy with hyaluronic acid provides symptomatic relief of arthritis-related joint complaints and pain. Hyaluronic acid has lubricating and nutritive effects on the damaged cartilage. Depending on the type of hyaluronic acid used, either a single injection or 5 separate ones are administered at 1-weekly intervals. The treatment is well tolerated and the desired effect lasts up to 6 months and longer. Treatment includes developing a detailed treatment plan, administering the injection into the joint by your doctor as well as documentation of the treatment progression. |
Shock-wave Therapy € 80 -120 per treatment | Treatment with shock-wave therapy includes a detailed treatment explanation, compiling a treatment plan, performing the shock-wave therapy by your doctor, documentation of therapy progression, as well as arranging further treatments (normally 3-5 treatments are necessary). |

Treatment Costs – Physiotherapy
45min Physiotherapy € 95 per session | Includes an initial assessment, development of an individual therapy plan, one-on-one therapy, recommendations for further therapy to complete independently. Depending on the type of therapy, 3-10 sessions are necessary. |
60min Physiotherapy € 120 per session | Includes an initial assessment, development of an individual therapy plan, one-on-one therapy, learning self-therapy exercises, recommendations for further therapy to complete independently. Depending on the type of therapy, 3-10 sessions are necessary. |
15min Massage € 15 | Following a physiotherapy session to loosen the musculature. |

The practice OrthoTraumaWien is a private practice. All doctors working here are private doctors. This offers patients the benefit of flexible appointments, little to no waiting times, a lot of time for personal consultation, diagnosis and discussion of results and treatment. Referral to our practice by other doctors is not necessary.
Fees are charged directly in the practice and have to be paid by the patient. The fees can later be submitted to the public health insurance company, in which case the patient receives 80% of the public insurance tariff refunded. If a patient has private insurance then depending on the coverage all costs will be refunded.
For patients with KFA public health service, costs are settled via e-card.
Your specialists at OrthoTraumaWien have the option to operate at Privatklinik Döbling, Evangelisches Krankenhaus and Hera Hospital (all are private hospitals in Vienna). If you are covered by private insurance then all costs for treatment in private hospitals will be taken over.
It is also possible to operate at Herz-Jesu Krankenhaus or Universitätsklinik für Orthopädie und Traumatologie of the AKH Wien. Costs for treatment are covered by public health insurance.
Patients covered by BVA health insurance have the option of upgrading to very timely and cost-effective treatment at Evangelisches Krankenhaus and Herz-Jesu Krankenhaus.
Patients covered by KFA health insurance have the option of being treated at Hera Hospital. All costs are covered by KFA.
